  1. Best way to find an older mentor in a niche? The fastest solution as you’ve said is to add value to the mentor but the ideal guy is much better than me at my core strengths. What is the value add? Maybe play on other strengths?

    1. Same strategy actually start something, then hit a sticking point, ask the right person for one piece of advice to fix problem, take advice use it, tell them it worked and show results. Done. Ego is everything.

  2. 1. Who do you think is tipped to win: Canelo Alvarez vs Danny Jacobs? (money is on Alvarez but am concerned that the match could be rigged again, GGG vs Alvarez 1)

    2. I am seeing slower sales on my online product (currently cost $300 USD, started at $100usd). Margins are 90% plus. Sales were 40 every month and now have dropped substantially, due to more competitors (interest in niche is still high). Do you think dropping the price by 50% and labelling it an “Easter Promotion ” would work?

    1. 1) Canelo we have small money on him
      2) yes dropping prices will likely work, if more competition came in see what they are charging. As a note this is based on a glance as we don’t know exactly what is happening, but try to price at market rate which is likely lower if it went from $100 to $300 now probably moving down a bit based on your comments.

  3. 1. Just as there’s a rough % of income to spend on rent – what’s the rough % of monthly income to invest into building a good wardrobe?

    2. In your experience, what are the key things female managers/ employees *generally* do better and worse than men?

    1. 1) probably around 3-5% this is so difficult though. Since it becomes tiny when you’re rich and is much higher when you start since you have to build from nothing. It is covered in our lifestyle book coming end of year. You basically need a minimum 2 nice suits + 10 nice shirts + 7 dress pants and 2 dress shoes. After that you have the bare minimum to survive

      2) women are much better at reading intention/social settings so they are typically better for entry level sales especially if good looking then they are extremely good hires for that.

  4. Question:

I am 26, with an IT degree in networking.

Know I have to get into enterprise IT Sales, but do not have any relevant W2s or 1099s from previous sales jobs to show sales capacity.

Do I get a car sales job then jump into an SDR role?

    1. @anony

      Tech sales here.

Prove you can sell by cold emailing software company profs in your area on LinkedIn. (that *is* sales) Real recognize real.

  5. Thanks for all the great no-BS you put up.

Currently trying to start a (very) small SaaS side business. Looking for niche problems to solve, but nearly every web community discussing professional problems is people bitching about coworkers. lol.

You know of any place I could be exposed to many business problems? If no, is there some inv banking chore you wish had been automated?

    Thanks.

    1. Hey dude,

I’ve given SaaS a shot before. Your best bet is to work with businesses. Consumers are generally cheap and would rather spend $30 a month on coffee vs. a valuable software.

Try to get businesses to pay you before building. That’s the only way you can validate what you are building. Lots of time, people will say that this XYZ product will be great but are they willing to put money where their mouth is?
